An Aussie Favourite Gets an Upgrade

The all-new Subaru Outback has had a major overhaul and for the first time ever will be available in a turbocharged version.

This sixth-gen model has a taller ground clearance, a roomier interior, better off-road ability, and advanced tech to help with the daily grind.

One the key highlights is the utilisation of Subaru’s latest crash avoidance and driver distraction technology, paired with a 360-degree “around view” camera.

Subaru have also claimed improvements to the suppression of noise, vibration and harshness through the use of “sound insulated glass”, making the new Outback the quietest its ever been in its 25-year history.

Honda's Plans for Electric Cars in Australia

Within two years the retro-styled E Prototype from#Honda is expected to lead the Japanese manufacturer’s entry into battery powered vehicles in Australia.

As stated by Honda Australia boss Stephen Collins: “We definitely want it. As an urban funky looking runabout, absolutely”.

Going one step further, Honda have said they want a quarter of its local sales to be hybrid or electric by 2025.

Touring Variant Added to the Cayman & Boxster

The “Touring” variant of the 718 Cayman and Boxster exhibits the racing element of Porsche in its purest form.

An example of this, is the weight on the Cayman being stripped back to an impressive 1350kg.

In addition to this, both models receive an enhanced PASM sport chassis, which lowers ride height by 20mm. A torque vectoring system with a mechanical rear differential is also fitted, along with a sports exhaust with black chrome tips and active gearbox mounts. This is all just to name a few.
